Quezon City Hall Staff Rewarded with Add’l BonusesPosted by msese
    Jan 24, 2007 03:33 am

It is a good start for the year 2007 for Quezon City Hall employees, as they are scheduled to receive incentives before the end of January.

This is in accordance with the memorandum circular issued by Mayor Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. ordering the release of funds for the payment of the employees’ benefits.

The detail of the memorandum circular is as follows:

Regular employees, consultants and contractual employees will be granted productivity bonuses and service rewards. This will be granted to regular employees who have satisfactory ratings for 2006.

Meanwhile, the incentive payment will correspond to 50 per cent of the individual’s basic monthly wage.

To qualify for the added incentives, an employee should have rendered at least 360 days or four months of continuous service as an employee of the city. More specifically, it includes leave of absences with pay. Finally, he or she should be a regular employee as of January 1st, 2007.

All this is in line with the implementation of a council ordinance in Quezon City, which, since 2002, had provided for the benefits of city government employees on an annual basis.
