Lady Luck seems to be continuing to smile on Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Star Dreamer Yeng Constantino who keeps on reaping
success in her showbiz career. It is a fact that her songs were hits at music charts throughout the Philippines even while
Yeng was still with the academy. Now, she has released a debut album called "Salamat" through Dream Big Productions and Star
Records which promises to show her talents not just as a singer but as a songwriter as well.
As far as sales are concerned, "Salamat" has been doing quite well, showing that Yeng is bankable. The Platinum Award
was granted to the album on ASAP 07 last Sunday. The album is called "Salamat" since it is a way for Yeng to give thanks
as she sings the hit tunes that turned her into the Pinoy Dream Academy grand winner. Some of the hit tunes are "Hawak Kamay"
(her own creation which was employed as the theme song of the well-received flick from Star Cinema "Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo");
"Pangarap Lang"; as well as a solo performance of the song "Awit ng Pangarap" (theme of the reality show.)
However, it is the carrier single "Salamat" that was first sung by Yeng at the Grand Dream Night of the Pinoy Dream Academy
that truly shows the desire of Ms. Constantino to thank all those who have shown their support during the competition.
There are 10 great tracks in this debut album with seven being her original compositions. The OPM classic created by Snaffu Rigo
called "Bulag, Pipi at Bingi" which was first recorded by Freddie Aguilar can be found in the album. The love theme of
"Princess Hours" called "If We Fall in Love" is also recorded solo by Yeng in "Salamat".
This debut album brings back feelings of nostalgia about Yeng's dramatic entry to fame and stardom. But it also showcases her
musicality and proves that Yeng has a bright future ahead of her in showbiz after Pinoy Dream Academy.
Some time ago, Yeng performed with the Final Six of the competition at the Cebu Coliseum. She and these six, namely Ronnie Liang,
Jay-R Siaboc, Richard Peralta, Irish Fullerton, and Panky Trinidad) will also be holding another show in Clark of Angeles
City. Furthermore, Yeng performed successfully in other parts of the Philippines.
In the near future, Yeng is expecting another blessing to come to her - a concert tour in the works whose venue is Japan. Comments : Add a comment
