Tokyo Drift is the last in the series of the Fast and the Furious movies. The story is about a man from America who is forced to move to Tokyo and live with his father in a bid to avoid going to jail.
The film stars Lucas Black, a new face to many, who attempts to slip on the shoes of Paul Walker (The Fast and The Furious 1 & 2)and finish these movies off. To his credit, he does a decent job but his lack of experience can cleary be seen in a number of action scenes. All he really needs to do for the most part is give a few huffs and puffs to look like he's really driving those cars.
The main charater gets involved in racing (again) and gets mixed up with the Japanese street racers. He discovers the entirely new racing world of drifting, which he worked hard to be good at. He tries to keep his father happy in the process.
The backdrop of Tokyo seemed ideal and made for some great viewing at times. The girls are the typical skinny japanese, dessed in trendy/flashy clothes with matching mini skirts.
All in all, a well-paced action movie but mostly comes good cause of half decent plot.
